My poems have appeared online, in print, in newspapers, university literary journals, meditation magazines, and art galleries. Educated at Hampshire College, CU-Denver, Naropa University, and Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop, my first book, Cassandra Gifts, was published in 2013 by Turkey Buzzard Press, and I am currently at work on my second collection, Pagan. I live in Fort Collins, Colorado, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
I believe a poem is a spell, a prayer, a complaint. A ghost, a doppelganger, a fetch. An emanation, an incarnation, a begetting. We never finally know what the poem is and so we always need to write another one, read another one, to find out.
When poem and song divorced so long ago, song got custody of music; but poetry got custody of silence.
